Some weddings feel different from the start. Phaedra and Tommaso had worked together at Plume restaurant in Matakana, so when it came to her wedding day, she knew exactly who she wanted in the kitchen. That kind of trust means everything to us.
Phaedra and Isaac chose to celebrate at her family home — an intimate and personal setting that called for a different kind of service. No caravan as a focal point this time. Instead, our wait staff moved through the guests with trays of canapés, weaving between groups on the lawn, making sure everyone felt looked after from the very first bite.
Dinner was served family style at the tables — sharing platters passed between guests, the Italian way.
"Please pass on a compliment to the waiters — a friend said they did a good job of getting canapés around all the different guest groups evenly. That's a skill."
— Lisa, mother of the bride
